At Perth Dance Club, we specialise in preparing dancers for competitive Ballroom, Latin and New Vogue dancing, from those taking their first steps into competition through to experienced dancers looking to achieve at a higher level.

PDC Principals Jack and Joanne are lifelong competitors with more than 40 years of combined experience. Their competitive careers have taken them throughout Australia and around the world, competing at some of the largest and most prestigious events while training with leading international coaches.

They are passionate about sharing their experience and love of competitive dancing and have successfully coached dancers of all ages and abilities.

A particular focus at PDC is creating pathways into competition for dancers who may never have considered themselves competitors. Through structured coaching and competition training, social and medal dancers can develop the technique, confidence and experience needed to take their dancing onto the competition floor.

PDC also offers coaching and partnering for Coach/Student and Professional-Amateur (Pro/Am) competition. These popular formats allow students to compete alongside their teacher and provide an exciting and accessible pathway into competitive dancing. Jack and Joanne offer coaching and partnering for competitions locally, interstate and internationally.

Both Jack and Joanne are DanceSport Australia-registered professional coaches and adjudicators and are qualified in all three competitive styles — Ballroom, Latin and New Vogue.

Young dancers are also encouraged to explore competitive dancing at PDC. Perth Dance Club is a registered KidSport Club, helping eligible Western Australian families access financial assistance towards participation costs, and all PDC teachers working with children hold valid Working with Children Checks.

Whether your goal is to experience your first competition, progress through the competitive ranks or compete at a high level, PDC provides the coaching, experience and support to help you get the most from your competitive dancing.
